A veteran estate agent has been awarded more than £21,000 after successfully suing his bosses for being given a desk that did not reflect his seniority.

Nicholas Walker, 53, furiously resigned from Robsons Estate Agents in Herfordshire over the table position row.

The former manager's anger flared after he moved branches and told he would sit at a 'middle' desk rather than the 'back' one, typically seen as the manager's spot.

'Experienced' Mr Walker was 'upset' over his office position and said he felt as though his status within the firm was being 'undermined' by his 'low status' desk.

When his boss Daniel Young heard about Mr Walker's desk allocation outcry, he raged he could not believe a 'f***ing 53-year-old man' was 'making a fuss' about it.
