A British tourist has become the third to die at the same popular Greek resort this summer, as a body was pulled from the water.
The 57-year-old man was discovered in the waters around Prasonisi at midday on Sunday, September 7.
Local officials confirmed he was unresponsive and had no pulse when he was brought to shore.
Paramedics rushed him by ambulance to the Gennadi Health Centre, but doctors were unable to save him. He was later declared dead at the hospital.
Authorities from the Lindos Port Authority have launched an investigation into the circumstances of his death and have ordered an autopsy to establish the exact cause.
