Telugu Desam Party (TDP) spokesman Neelayapalem Vijay Kumar said that no Central government in the last 50 years had dared to implement such radical tax reforms as the NDA, and the drastic rate cuts had eased the financial burden on the common people.
Addressing the media on Saturday, Mr. Vijay Kumar said Prime Minister Narendra Modi had taken the bold step of substantially reducing GST rates at a time when the steep tariffs imposed by US President Donald Trump posed a grave threat to the Indian economy. He asserted that the reduced GST rates would help bring down the prices of essential commodities and pave the way for fresh investments.
