The Eastern Railway’s Sealdah Division has introduced two new air-conditioned local trains from September 5, taking the total number of such services in West Bengal to three. Officials said this marks the first deployment of AC local trains in the State, aimed at offering premium and comfortable travel for daily commuters.

The first AC local in the Sealdah Division, also the State’s first, was launched on August 11 after its inaugural run on August 10.
