A notorious child killer will be released this year – despite the Parole Board being warned by experts that he should not be freed.
Trainee electrician Paul Smith was jailed for life in 2004 for the murder of 10–year–old Rosie May Storrie at a Christmas party.
The child was found unconscious on a bed at a house in Normanton, Leicestershire, on the 28th December 2003.
The talented young gymnast and dancer was found semi–naked having been smothered – and died in hospital two days later.
Smith, then 17, was found guilty of murder and sentenced to life with a minimum of 14 years.
