Chief Minister N. Rangasamy on Thursday said the government was committed to spending more for the education sector considering the vital role education plays in the development of a region.

Participating in Teachers’ Day celebrations organised by the Education department at Kamarajar Manimandapam on East Coast Road, the Chief Minister said education played a major role in the progress of a nation.
