Justice K. Lakshman of Telangana High Court on Tuesday dispensed with the appearance of Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy in a criminal case on the files of a lower court. While issuing notices to the Saifabad police of Hyderabad commissionerate in this matter, the judge directed Revanth Reddy to appear before the lower court in compliance with the lower court instructions.

A case was registered against A. Revanth Reddy in 2021 for organising a rally, without permission, from Secretariat to Raj Bhavan demanding the Central government to repeal three farm laws brought out by the latter. The matter was adjourned to October 7 for next hearing.
