Continuing police crackdown on drug trafficking based on the information provided by people through QR code scanning, the Mulky police on Sunday arrested Dhanesh Kumar, 35, of Boloor village, on the charge of peddling narcotic drugs.

The police seized 1.16 kg of cannabis worth ₹25,000, ₹4,740 cash, a mobile phone, a smoking device, and an electronic weighing machine from the accused. A case for offences punishable under Sections 8(c) and 20(b)(ii)(B) of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act was registered.
