The Thiruvidaimaruthur police have arrested a gang which reportedly carried out fraudulent bank transactions using the Aadhaar numbers of individuals.
According to police, a team of police personnel from Thiruvidaimaruthur police station were engaged in vehicle checking exercise at Ainthuvaikkal area on August 27 and intercepted two cars. While inspecting the vehicle records and the vehicles, the activities of the occupants of the two cars raised suspicion among the police. Subsequently, all of them were taken to the police station for interrogation.
