The family of a woman who was found in the street have described her as a 'cherished daughter, family member and dear friend'.
Niwunhellage Dona Nirodha Kalapni Niwunhella, 32, known as Nirodha, died after being 'seriously injured' on a road in Cardiff on Thursday morning.
Paramedics attended the scene on South Morgan Place in Riverside at 7.37am, but despite their best efforts Nirodha was pronounced dead at the scene.
A 37-year-old man, who was known to Nirodha, was arrested in connection shortly after on Seawall Road, in Splott. He remains in police custody.
Nirodha's family have today released a tribute following her death.
