A pedestrian who was struck by a vehicle last week has died.
Emergency services were called to Ngaio Road in Waikanae on Thursday afternoon following reports a woman had been hit.
She was transported to hospital by ambulance in a serious condition. Police were notified that she died on Monday morning.
The Serious Crash Unit conducted an examination at the scene, and police say enquiries into the circumstances of the crash are ongoing.
