Shivamogga Deputy Commissioner Gurudatta Hegade said that legal action will be taken against those who assault government servants while on official duty and that the administration is committed to ensuring the safety of their staff.
In a meeting over the grievances of government officials in Shivamogga on Thursday, Mr. Hegade said that it was the duty of every citizen to cooperate with the administration. If anyone attempted to obstruct officials from discharging their duty or assault them while on duty, the administration will take stern action against them, said a communique released from the district administration.
