: A special investigation squad from Maharashtra arrested a Koyilandy native on Wednesday (August 20, 2025), reportedly involved in a major theft case in Mumbai. The accused Attavayalil Sujin Raj was taken to Mumbai as part of the investigation.

Police sources said the man was suspected of involvement in the theft of about ₹70 lakh from a house. They added that a search was still under way for some of his close aides who were partners in the crime.
