Demanding the Tamil Nadu government again to bring out an exclusive law to deal with honour killing crimes, Executive Director A. Kathir of Evidence, an NGO fighting for the rights of the SCs and deprived community, said that the death of 26-year-old Satishkumar of Pottapatti by an armed gang near Kottampati in Madurai district on August 16 was not a murder, but honour killing.
In a statement issued on Monday, he said that a fact-finding team visited Raghavi, 24, the complainant and wife of the deceased Satishkumar in Melur Government Hospital.
