South Central Railway (SCR) officials are all geared up to tackle heavy rains to ensure uninterrupted and safe journey to the passengers. The principal heads of various departments, Divisional Railway Managers (DRMs), field supervisors and the officers will monitor the disaster management centres round-the-clock.
The DRMs, Additional DRMs and their teams from Vijayawada, Guntur, Guntakal and other divisions were asked to alert the officials on monsoon preparedness and coordinate with the State government officials on safe train operations in the wake of heavy rainfall prediction.
