Heavy rains over the past two days brought Hyderabad’s flood troubles to the forefront once again, with Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy hitting the streets for a surprise inspection on Sunday, and promising swift action and long-term solution.The Chief Minister visited flood-hit colonies at Ameerpet, Buddha Nagar, and Maitrivanam, and questioned officials from the GHMC, Hyderabad Metropolitan Water Supply and Sewerage Board (HMWS&SB) and HYDRAA, on drainage issues and relief efforts.HYDRAA chief A.V. Ranganath and officials accompanied the Chief Minister. They briefed him on the situation in low-lying localities and steps being taken to mitigate rain-related havoc.
