Premier Giorgia Meloni accused part of the opposition of trying to use judicial means to fight her government on Thursday after the Green-Left Alliance (AVS) said it will report the executive to the International Criminal Court (ICC) for alleged complicity in the crimes being committed in Gaza.

would like to report the Italian government to the International Criminal Court," Meloni said on Facebook.
"They are the same ones who, just some time ago, were asking Brussels to open an infringement procedure against Italy.
"Now they are aiming for an international trial, bringing up the humanitarian drama in Gaza in a completely instrumental way".
