To check rash driving and violation of traffic rules, the Adilabad district police have put up cut-outs of the replicas of police patrol vehicles at two accident hotspots along the busy National Highway 44 stretch in the district. The move is expected to act as a deterrent for traffic violations and ensure road safety.

The cut-outs of the police patrol vehicles and traffic policemen have been set up one each at Gudihathnoor-Mekalagandi and Bandham Crossroads, the accident-prone spots along the NH-44 in Adilabad district, police said.
Superintendent of Police Akhil Mahajan has taken up the initiative as part of implementation of a road safety action plan envisaging awareness on road safety regulations and strict enforcement of traffic rules.
