APJ Abdul Kalam Technological University (KTU) has issued orders entrusting Joint Registrar, Gopin G., who is also private secretary of Vice-Chancellor in-charge K. Sivaprasad, the additional charge of the Registrar.
The position has remained vacant since former Joint Registrar and Registrar in-charge Bindu Kumari K. retired from service on May 31. While the university had invited applications for filling various statutory posts, the process was stayed by the Kerala High Court.
The university has been witnessing partial administrative standstill, resulting in hurdles in issuing degree certificates, disbursing salaries and pensions, and clearing the budget for the financial year.
