Absence of mobile towers
A lot of people visit the ‘Chinna Suruli Water Falls’ near Megamalai in Theni district, and it’s mostly crowded on weekends and holidays, but there is no mobile signal available. Though good roads for transportation connect these tourist spots, there is no mobile signal due to the non-availability of mobile towers. I would appeal to the Central and State governments to direct the authorities concerned to install a ‘common tower’ in such places as done in foreign countries by sharing the expenditure involved in tower erection as a joint venture.
