The Pulichintala Project in Andhra Pradesh on Thursday (July 31, 2025) is expected to receive a total inflow of 2,51,259 cusecs, all of which is being released downstream.

Water Resources Department authorities on Wednesday (July 30, 2025) declared a high alert along the Krishna River. The low-lying areas in the five districts of Guntur, Palnadu, Bapatla, NTR, and Krishna have also been put on alert.

The floodwater inflows are rising in the Krishna River, said the Andhra Pradesh State Disaster Management Authority. Widespread rainfall over the past several days in upstream areas is causing the surge.

The current water level at Pulichintala stands at 52.13 meters (171.03 feet), slightly below the Full Reservoir Level (FRL) of 53.34 meters (175 feet).
