The implementation of the agreement between the United States and the EU for tariffs of 15% on European imports to the US could cause Italian exports to fall by 8.627 billion euros in value terms and put 103,892 jobs at risk here, the Svimez research association said in a report on Tuesday.
It said that, if pharmaceuticals are excluded from the tariffs, the impact softens, with exports down by 7.44 billion euros and the number of jobs at risk coming down to 89,645.
It said the tariffs risk costing southern Italy 705 million euros worth of exports and 8,519 jobs.
