Rabbi Michael Marmur devotes considerable space in his new book on the big Jewish questions of our day to the events of October 7 and their aftermath. Still, the seeds for "Living the Letters: An Alphabet of Emerging Jewish Thought" were planted way before, more than 30 years ago, when he was a young soldier on guard duty at the Megiddo prison in northern Israel.
