China’s push to develop a hydrogen business appears to be extending from the domestic to the export market, signified by a landmark long-term green ammonia purchase agreement between China’s Envision and Japanese trading house Marubeni earlier this month. Under the agreement, Marubeni has snagged supply from an undisclosed chunk of a giant under-construction Envision facility. This is still building up to scale but aims to produce some 1.5 million tons per year on full completion.
