Chinese company State Power Investment Corp set a global record for the largest single-batch export of green ammonia, shipping 3,750 tonnes of green ammonia to South Korea.
State Power Investment Corp (Spic) announced a total of 3,750 tonnes of green ammonia were shipped from Lianyungang, in the northeastern Jiangsu province, to the Republic of Korea on July 28, 2026, setting a global record for the largest single-batch export of green ammonia. The Chinese project is independently developed and integrates a renewable power–hydrogen–ammonia coordination and control system. “The project commenced commercial operation in July 2025. Supported by 800 MW of dedicated renewable energy capacity, it is designed to produce 32,000 tons of green hydrogen and 180,000 tons of green ammonia annually. Upon commissioning, it established five world records, including the world’s largest single-unit green ammonia production facility,” said the company.
Conexus organized the initial public consultation on the planned hydrogen pipeline in Latvia from 28 July to 1 September 2026. As part of the consultation process for the Nordic-Baltic Hydrogen Corridor project, meetings will also be held in ten municipalities located within the project study area. “The initial public consultation represents the first stage of public engagement, allowing residents, landowners, and municipalities to provide comments and proposals for the further study and assessment of the project. The study area defined for the EIA currently includes 1,773 land parcels or parts thereof,” said the gas transmission and storage system operator, adding that potential route of the pipeline within this area will be assessed during the preparation of the Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) process.
