The CPI (M) functionaries on Thursday took out a rally across Madurai highlighting unfulfilled promises made by the Centre and the State governments and the various issues that were plaguing Madurai Corporation.
The CPI (M) functionaries said the people were affected by various issues in Corporation areas which needed to be addressed. The issues included bad roads, clean drinking water, medical care, leaking drainage, and even issues with regard to garbage collection. Though the people have already raised the complaints, the issues were not yet addressed. The people were affected by the delay. Necessary steps should be taken to address these issues on a war footing, they said. The CPI (M) functionaries took out a rally in the five zones of Madurai Corporation.
