Madurai City Traffic Police officers and men got a pair of coolers each to protect their eyes from sunrays and dust.
Commissioner of Police J. Loganathan distributed the black coolers in the presence of Deputy Commissioner of Police (Traffic) S. Vanitha and Srinivasan of Sri Ramachandra Eye Hospital. All the traffic police personnel working on the field, right from constables to Inspectors, got the coolers.
The glasses would also cover the eyes from infection caused by dust.
