Rains continued to lash parts of coastal, south-interior and north-interior Karnataka and two rain-related deaths were reported from Dharwad in the last 24 hours.
Heavy rains cause two deaths in Belagavi
Separately, heavy rains caused two deaths in Belagavi district on Thursday. (June 12, 2025).
According to the Dharwad district administration, a 31-year-old man was killed and two were injured when a tractor overturned in a stream at Hanchinal village in Kundgol taluk on Wednesday (June 11, 2025). The deceased has been identified as Shivayya Basayya Vatnalmath.
In another incident, 58-year-old Hussainsab Kalasa went missing after the two-wheeler he was riding was washed away in an overflowing drain at Nekar Nagar in Hubballi city on Wednesday. His pillion rider was rescued by passersby.
