t least 30 people, including women and children, complained of vomiting and uneasiness at Kalvimadai village near Kariapatti in Virudhunagar district on Tuesday.
Preliminary inquiries revealed that some children vomited in the morning while they were playing in front of their habitation. As the news spread, there was panic for some time and after the information reached the elders, the people were rushed to the Mookulam Primary Health Centre for first-aid.
