A higher education guidance and counselling centre was launched at the Theni Collectorate by Theni Collector Ranjeet Singh.
The centre has been set up by the School Education Department in coordination with the Theni District Administration. The centre is located on the second floor of the Collectorate building.
The main objective of the centre was to offer guidance on higher education options including medicine, engineering, arts and science, law and vocational training. Awareness was also created about the welfare schemes being implemented by the State government for the benefit of the students.
Students in need of guidance can visit the centre or contact 82200 77114 or 78717 42115 from Monday to Friday between 10 a.m. and 5 p.m., according to a press release.
