A massive hack at ID verification company IDScan.net compromised records for more than 150 million drivers, resulting in scans of licenses being made available to bad actors.

Digital scans of driver's licenses from the U.S. and Canada appeared for sale on a dark web site called Nexus, which vanished after a journalist reported on it

The ID checking company said the data breach included people's full names and driver's licenses and other government-issued identity documents.
