Sofia has reached the final of the European Capital of Tourism 2027 competition, becoming one of eight cities shortlisted after an independent assessment of 43 applications from 18 countries. The Bulgarian capital is one of only two national capitals to make the final in the category for cities with more than 100,000 residents.
