Ministerial salaries in Singapore, already among the world's highest, will go up from 15 October , boosting the prime minister's annual pay by 64 percent to S$3.6 million (NZ$4.8million) from S$2.2 million, Prime Minister Lawrence Wong has said on Tuesday.

The salaries of Singapore’s political office holders and parliamentarians have remained unchanged since 2011.

The new salaries will take effect from Oct 15 this year.
