Greek President Konstantinos Tassoulas expressed his condolences Saturday following the deaths of two Air Force officers whose F-4E Phantom II fighter jet crashed during an air show in Tanagra, north of Athens.

An F-4 Phantom Greek military aircraft crashed at an airshow in front of thousands of spectators, killing pilots.

Officials said the bodies of the pilots were located during a rescue operation, hampered initially by a fire at Tanagra airbase near Athens.
