"It is with a heavy heart that we report we are unable to come to a unanimous decision," the jury said in a note

The jury in Lindsay Clancy's murder trial told the judge Tuesday morning they are deadlocked, and left a Massachusetts courtroom hours later without reaching a verdict.

Jurors told the judge a second time they couldn’t reach a unanimous decision. If they come back deadlocked again, the judge could declare a mistrial.

The 12-member jury has spent seven days deliberating and came to a third deadlock in the Lindsay Clandy murder trial.
