The US ISM Non-Manufacturing PMI rose to 55.4 in August, beating the 54.1 forecast and extending 92 consecutive months of services sector growth.

Although the sector remained in expansion, "warning signs" are starting to appear, said Susan Spence, chair of the Institute for Supply Management.
