Nepal has asked the UN's loss and damage fund for emergency money after the flood. The fund has yet to make a payment to any country.

As the toll in the flash floods climbed above 1,000, Foreign Minister Shisir Kanal said that the country was paying for a crisis it did not create.

Nepal's foreign minister said that any assistance to help Nepal recover from the flash floods should be treated as a "moral liability," rather than charity. | World News
