America needs a Space Academy that invests in people, not buildings

A new source for commissioned officers—but is it needed?

President Donald Trump signed an executive order Aug. 28 creating a commission to study establishing a federal space academy analogous to military ones.

The order tasks a White House commission with submitting a proposal on the academy to Trump within 120 days.
