Ratko Mladic, the "Butcher of Bosnia," has died while serving a life sentence. He was convicted for genocide and war crimes committed during the Bosnian War. Mladic oversaw the 1995 Srebrenica massacre, Europe's worst bloodshed since World War II. His military leadership was part of a brutal trio during the conflict. The war resulted in many deaths and widespread displacement of people.
