Former Bosnian Serb general Ratko Mladic, who was convicted of genocide, war crimes and crimes against humanity over his role in the 1992-1995 Bosnian war, has died at the age of 84, Serbian state broadcaster RTS reported Thursday. Mladic, known as the “Butcher of Bosnia,” died at a United Nations detention facility in The Hague, where he was serving a life sentence.
