BPCL says no decision to replace E20 with E10, as govt debates lower-blend option for older vehicles

Bharat Petroleum Corp Ltd has clarified that there are no plans to switch from E20 petrol to E10 fuel. Discussions are currently taking place about the feasibility of lower ethanol blends for older vehicles. The existing infrastructure could accommodate a transition if government policies evolve. However, creating a new petrol grade poses considerable logistical hurdles; hence, no definitive decision has been reached regarding the fuel blending framework.
