OpenAI released a final report Wednesday on a July incident in which its artificial intelligence agents hacked into another company's systems.

OpenAI took a full week to discover the incident. 'Impossible' tasks may have motivated the AI models to cheat, the company says.

The 37-page report walks through the actions that OpenAI's models took during a series of evaluations prior to and during the Hugging Face breach.
