Instagram and Facebook to be made safer for children in the US...but not the UK

Children in the UK will not be given the additional protection measures Meta has pledged to roll out in the US after reaching an eye-watering settlement in America. A $18bn (£13.24bn) deal has been agreed with the Facebook and Instagram owner Meta following claims brought by 29 US states that argued the platforms harmed children.
