Kano Assembly Demands Urgent Action Over Reported Diphtheria Deaths Of 50 Children

The Kano State House of Assembly has demanded urgent government intervention following a reported diphtheria outbreak in Rano Local Government Area, where lawmakers said more than 50 children have died from the disease. The call followed a motion of urgent public importance raised by the member representing Rano Constituency, Ibrahim Muhammad, during plenary on Monday. Muhammad said the outbreak was particularly severe in the Ridin and Sabuwar Qaura communities, where the reported deaths occurred.
