For 118 years, HMS Tiger existed in the records of the Royal Navy but remained missing from the seabed where it was believed to have gone down. The warship sank off the Isle of Wight in 1908 after colliding with the 10,000-ton cruiser HMS Berwick, killing more than half of its 57 crew members.
