‘Never use my music again’: Grammy-winning artist hits back at Trump

Grande commented on the post to reject its messaging regarding gender and sports, after which the song was removed from the video by the copyright owner. This is the second time Grande has called out campaign posts, having previously condemned the use of her song “Bye” in a video promoting ICE arrests in June. Grande joins a growing list of artists, including Taylor Swift, Sabrina Carpenter and Olivia Rodrigo, who have objected to their music being used in promotional content for Trump and the White House. The controversy comes as Grande prepares to finish her Eternal Sunshine tour on September 1, after which she plans to take a break from public life.
