India’s 80th Independence Day: Progress, people and partnership

JEDDAH: As India celebrates its 80th Independence Day, we remember with gratitude the countless men and women whose courage and sacrifice secured our freedom. We also pay tribute to the generations of Indians who have, since 1947, strengthened our democracy, built our institutions and contributed to the country’s remarkable journey of development. Independence Day is not only an occasion to look back with pride but also to look ahead with confidence. India today is working toward the vision of “Viksit Bharat” (Developed India) by 2047.
