Central Railway to upgrade 22 Mumbai locals to 15-car rakes from Aug 15

Central Railway will augment twenty-two suburban services to fifteen-car rakes starting August fifteenth. This move will increase carrying capacity by twenty-five percent for commuters. The upgraded services will benefit travelers to and from satellite towns. Two upgraded services will operate during morning and evening peak hours. This expansion brings the total fifteen-car services to fifty-four.
