Gun, ballistic vest and over 80 rounds of ammo seized in St James during police operations

Detectives assigned to the National Strategic Anti-Gang Division (NSAD) seized a firearm, a ballistic vest, and more than 80 rounds of ammunition on Monday during separate operations across the parish. Two women and one man were taken into custody in connection with the seizures. In the first incident, at about 4:00 p.m., NSAD personnel were conducting an operation at Fairview Plaza in Montego Bay when a woman was accosted and searched, and 75 rounds of ammunition — 74 5.56 rounds and one 7.62 round — were seized.
