The Ministry of External Affairs has said India is examining the implications of the new defence pact involving Pakistan, Saudi Arabia and Turkiye. According to the MEA, the government is assessing the agreement's impact on national security as well as regional peace and stability.

Turkish FM says Egypt could join the pact; DPM Dar says agreement "purely defensive" in nature.

While Egypt has been floated as a candidate, analysts say Cairo may be wary of defence commitments.
